Any time, any amount, please help build our travel and research fund for what promises to be a very busy 2010-11, traveling to mine resources from California to Washington and maybe beyond. Depth of research determined by the level of aid from readers. Because of our recent illness, our research fund is completely bare. As we launch the 11th year of the Journal on the Internet, we are getting back to work and we have at least four major projects that are of a very high priority. They will require a research budget that is sadly nearly bare after my recent illness. Those projects plus the publication of Subscribers Editions and completion of our CDs are most important for the near future. The projects are:

High priority projects

Completion of the revisions based on recent research for the book, The Old Man Goes Fishing, about Frank Wilkeson. Patricia McAndrew and I collaborated on the book about the New York Times columnist who lived in Skagit, Whatcom and Chelan counties in the 1890s. After it was delayed for five years, we hope to print it in 2011.

Our book, Humbug — Mortimer Cook lands at Sedro and Skagit River after adventures in Canada and all over the U.S.A.

Our transcription of the Subscribers Edition stories from the first ten years on the web to a set of CDs.
